Impaired visions

Where’s the light in your eyes? I see nothing but a blank stare. Are you still alive or has the light gone black? Where’s the love? you’ve got your head buried in the ground, can you hear me calling you or is it in too deep? You’re like a vague facade that sometimes seeps in through my mind from my pores. Why don’t you talk? Why don’t you move? Don’t worry I’m innocuous, you’ll be perfectly fine or don’t you trust me? I’ll tell you this, hold my hand and I’ll take you to a new world. A new world of nothing but open grassy fields with trees and an ocean front. A world of pure darkness where the spirits roam freely in the fields under the starry night. Don’t worry, you’ll be safe with them, you’ll be safe with me, you’ll be safe in this new world that I call freedom and new beginnings.
